| I have been teaching for 20 years, first as a reading interventionist, a reading tutor, a substitute, and now for the last 14 years I have been an English As a Second Language Teacher. This is my 6th year at ACC. I chose to work at ACC because I enjoy working with students from different cultures and who speak a different language than English, and was very inspired by their mission.
I am inspired by ACC’s mission because it states that in an environment of familia and community, they are committed to providing a quality dual language education in which the learners strive to become bilingual and bi-literate while infusing the Latino values of hard work, family, respect, and unity into everyday life at school. That’s all for now. He estado enseñando durante 20 años, primero como intervencionista de lectura, tutor de lectura, sustituto, y ahora durante los últimos 14 años he sido maestra de inglés como segunda lengua. Este es mi sexto año en ACC. Elegí trabajar en ACC porque disfruto trabajar con estudiantes de diferentes culturas y que hablan un idioma diferente al inglés, y me inspiró mucho su misión. Me inspiro en la misión de ACC porque establece un ambiente familiar y comunidad, están comprometidos a proveer una educación bilingüe de calidad en la que los estudiantes se esfuerzan por ser bilingües mientras que infunden los valores latinos de trabajo duro, familia, respeto y unidad en la vida diaria de la escuela. Eso es todo por ahora. |
