| I am originally from Honduras. I live here with my husband, my two kids (my son graduated this year from Stillwater High School and my daughter is going to 10th grade), and my two dogs. I worked for Concordia Village Language and the South Washington County Schools as a Substitute Teacher/Spanish Tutor. I also worked for Nuevas Fronteras Spanish Immersion School as 2nd and 5th-grade Teacher; Reading 2nd-3rd grade, and Math 4th-5th grade Interventionist; Woodbury High School as Spanish Teacher, and Geography (Special Assignment).
After I read about ACC and its connection within the community, I felt connected with my background and culture; at that moment I knew that I wanted to be part of ACC helping to make a difference in our community through my work here. ACC is a school that values our Hispanic community and that inspires me. Soy de Honduras. Vivo aquí con mi marido, mis dos hijos (mi hijo se graduó este año en la escuela secundaria de Stillwater y mi hija va al décimo grado), y mis dos perros. Trabajé para Concordia Village Language y las escuelas del sur del condado de Washington como profesora sustituta/tutora de español. También trabajé para la Escuela de Inmersión en Español de Nuevas Fronteras como Maestra de 2º y 5º grado; Lectura 2º-3º grado, y Matemáticas 4º-5º grado Intervencionista; Escuela Secundaria Woodbury como Maestra de Español, y Geografía (Asignación Especial). Después de leer sobre ACC y su conexión con la comunidad, me sentí conectada con mis antecedentes y cultura; en ese momento supe que quería ser parte de ACC ayudando a hacer una diferencia en nuestra comunidad a través de mi trabajo aquí. ACC es una escuela que valora nuestra comunidad hispana y que me inspira. |
